WHAT YEAR DID YOU GRADUATE FROM KCS?
1998 (oh man that makes me feel old!). It was the last year where the whole school K-12 was still on one campus at Gordon!
WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW?
I am currently and first and foremost a mom to Lily (grade 5 KCS) and Stella (grade 1 KCS). I also have a private practice as a Registered Clinical Counsellor.
DO YOU HAVE ANY MEMORIES THAT STAND OUT FROM YOUR TIME AT KCS?
I have so many memories from my time at KCS. Probably grad kidnapping, rollerskating in disco clothes at the rollerskating rink where the Grand 10 is now and making flour babies in Mrs. Hettinga's home economics class stand out to me.
HOW DID YOUR KCS EDUCATION SHAPE WHO YOU ARE TODAY?
KCS took the seeds of my faith, that were planted growing up in a Christian home, and grew those seeds daily so that roots began to grow and take hold in the rich soil of Christian education. I was surrounded by teachers and staff who cared equally about my academic success as my spiritual journey with God. When I graduated, I had 13 years of Christian education under my belt, where I knew who God was, how He desires to use me to help others for His glory and I was equipped with solid academic education to carry that purpose out.
WHAT IS ONE WORD YOU WOULD USE TO DESCRIBE KCS?
I would describe KCS as home.
