We believe that taking part in physical activity of any kind is significant in the overall balanced development of a child. Participating in and appreciating sports contribute to our physical, emotional and social development. At Kelowna Christian School (KCS) we endeavor to educate the whole person. Just as we nurture cognitive development within our school curriculum, we also encourage it through our athletic program.
Taking part in various sports and physical activity gives students the opportunity to discover a range of strengths outside those of academic learning. Involvement contributes to students’ development of personal identity and self-esteem. Participation in team sports also develops strong community with peers. Students find their role and experience growth through commitment, achievement, challenges, perseverance, and teamwork. All these elements help to prepare them for life beyond KCS.
Kelowna Christian School has fully equipped gyms at both campuses, external fields, indoor basketball courts and lots of opportunities for our students to get involved. We consistently rank highly in the province often winning provincial championships (like this year!)
Our senior boy's basketball and senior girls volleyball consistently rank with the best in British Columbia - placing in many Provincials over the past several years. KCS also offers a special Sports Academy Program for Middle School students (Grade 6 - 9). CLICK HERE to discover and learn more about this fantastic program.

GET CONNECTED TO ATHLETICS THIS FALL!
We are looking forward to our new season getting started and having students connected in one or more of the teams at KCS. We are grateful for our coaches every year who give so much time to our students and relate to them in a way that others could not. THANK YOU, coaches!
You will see below a list of teams being offered this fall, as well as the fee for each team, the coach's contact information and tryout and practice times. This year, we are moving to a standardized form of collecting team fees. Players who have not paid their fee will not be eligible for gameplay until they have done so. Cheques should be made payable to KCS. Please include the team(s) you are paying for on the 'memo' line.
