Home Economics (Foods)
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in Grade 3! This goal was solidified in middle school where I was encouraged and supported by many excellent teachers. After I completed my Bachelor of Education at the U of A in 2001, I began teaching Grades 7-9 for ECSD in Edmonton until 2006. After my son and daughter were born, I took a break from teaching to stay home with them. In 2016, I joined the KCS staff as a teacher-on-call and then accepted the position of teaching food studies in 2017.
My husband, Jeff and I met at my first teaching assignment and we were married in 2004. We have a son, Kyle and a daughter, Katie who are both students at KCS. We enjoy camping, boating, and travelling together.
The courses I teach are food studies 8/9, 10, 11, and 12.
